Cragmaw Castle

I am writing this quickly in case we don't return.

It took a few days, but we rescued Istrid from King Grole. We had to free her from some Drow that were taking her to be sold. We followed them until they reached the path to the mine. We kept one alive to question. From him we learned Nesnar, the Claw and others spend their time in a room in the mine near the statue. Whatever that means, there is no statue on the map I have.

I was detecting his thoughts while Stellara asked questions. At one point his mind turned to a memory -one of him, personally participating in the razing of my old village! I won't bother you with the details, they were gruesome.

I killed him with a flaming sphere. Slowly. Good riddance!

Well, anyway, we now know where the mine is. I used Message to speak with Ran. He is there along with Gundrun. Though he says reinforcements are coming.

So there you have it. Today, we are about to enter the mine that Nesnar and the others have been trying to clear out for months? And they have reinforcements about to show up.

This is sure to be the Night Raiders greatest challenge to date.
