An Interlude in Waterdeep
Today when we returned home from a shopping trip, Montgomery and Elandra were in the manor. Visitors from Nightstone! And they brought presents!!!!
For Skyler, a Lantern of Revealing
For Trella, a poison kit from Zina for extracting poisons
For Stellara, a Folding Boat
For Tyaa, a potion bottle -Oil of Sharpness (5 shots)
For me, Wand of Magic Detection
For Benu, a Marsupial Pouch
For Winter, Bag of Beans (9 Beans)
In return, we gave Elandra the Silver Raven in case they ever need to get in touch with us.
Its been three months, let me catch you up.
Trella has started studying under someone called Needle. I think he wants to begin learning of the Psychic arts.
Stellara has begun studying to be a Cleric! She has found a mentor, Morg Deathhammer, and has been spending much time exploring these new found arts.
Tyaa has been watching Trella all these months and he has begun practicing his own thieving skills. Twice I've had to retrieve my spell book from his room.
Winter studied up on the stone in Nightstone. The language upon it is Jotun, the language of Giants. In ancient times, the giants once ruled the entire sea coast. She is studying the language in order to learn more.
Skylar has been working on making four suits of dragonmail armour. In her off time, she has started researching Asmodeus.
Benu has been investigating the troubles here on Troll Skull Alley. Turns out the Casselanter's are reestablished in Never Winter, but they still have ties here in Waterdeep. They are the ones spreading rumors about Troll Skull Alley and us. Big Surprise. However, thankfully, she was able to convince some of the families to return their business to the Alley. Royus Adeirbrent, part of a shipping family, is one that hasn't been convinced yet.
And I went out to see what I could find in the countryside outside Waterdeep. I found a quill in an old monastery that reminded me of the quill the Black Staff was using. Some human named Cyrus Wainwright outright stole it from me!! Trella helped me track down who this thief is. Turns out he is a member of a noble house in Waterdeep, the Melshimber family. They earn their money through a winery, but they are foremost sages and researchers. He's known for hunting down magic items and hangs out at the Light Singer Theatre. I'm sure we'll be visiting that venue very soon!!
We've just been contacted by the Black Staff. She wants us to visit her in the tower. I sense a job on the horizon . . . .
